Thank you to everyone that took part in the Glasgow Hospitals Christmas Carol Concert which raised over £40,000 for children and young people with cancer, and their families.
The audience enjoyed an evening of festive carols from the Glasgow Chamber Orchestra which was led by Ian McCrorie.
Special guest, 11-year-old Cameron also sang at the concert with his schoolmates in the Carmyle Primary School Choir.
Cameron was diagnosed with cancer in January 2011, and received treatment at Yorkhill Children’s Hospital whilst keeping up with his school lessons in hospital.
Cameron spoke to the 1,400 strong audience about his experiences, alongside eight-year-old Ashlee, who is currently receiving cancer treatment.
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Rachael McLean said “We are absolutely delighted at the success of this year’s Christmas carol concert and would like to thank all of our wonderful volunteers and the dedicated organising committee who helped to make this special event happen.
"The performance was thoroughly enjoyed by all. The money raised will go a long way in supporting children and young people with cancer, and their families."
