Sarah Grey organised a big book sale in Wellington, Somerset and has raised over £600 for children and young people with cancer, and their families.
Sarah organised the book sale to raise funds in support of her friend’s son, Edward, who is currently being treated for cancer.
Sarah said: "The event went brilliantly and was packed from start to finish. Well over half the books were sold and all the cakes went incredibly fast! I've already been asked to do another one next year."
The money raised will go towards Edward’s fund called ‘Edward’s Fight’, which was set up just after Edward was diagnosed with cancer in December 2014.
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Hannah Worrall said: “Everyone loves the smell of an old book and the proof is the popularity of this book sale.
“Well done Sarah for raising such a huge amount of money for CLIC Sargent, you must have good taste in your literature!”
