Northern Ireland businesses come together for Wig Wednesday

20 May 2015 is Wig Wednesday, when thousands of schools, businesses and organisations across the UK will don their wigs to support children and young people with cancer.

Some of Northern Ireland's biggest names in business took part in last year's Wig Wednesday and together helped to raise over £23,000.

Big businesses such as UTV/U105, JD Wetherspoon, Santander and Robinson Services joined Phillip Schofield, Holly Willoughby, Natalie Cassidy, Stephen Ferris and Michael Hoey to take part in Wig Wednesday.

As well as donning their wigs, people held wig-quizzes and some chief executives were even willing to wear wigs for board meetings to help raise their company's total.

CLIC Sargent Northern Ireland Ambassador Stephen Ferris said: "I am delighted to be able to lend my support to the CLIC Sargent Wig Wednesday campaign.

"The concept is incredibly simple and allows everyone to have a bit of fun."
