Covering the South and Mid Wales area, Cerys is here to get in touch with the fantastic people raising money and awareness for our work with children, young people and their families who have been diagnosed with cancer.
Cerys said: "I’m so proud to be the first ever CLIC Sargent FEM based in Wales. The welcome that I have received from our existing supporters is truly humbling.
"I look forward to building long-lasting relationships and growing the support that we receive here in Wales for young lives against cancer."
Support in Wales
Last year, CLIC Sargent gave more than £48,000 in grants to children and young people and their families in Wales. These grants helped over 240 people cover the costs of cancer, such as travel for treatment, thanks to our amazing supporters.
Throughout Wales, CLIC Sargent social workers worked with families to take the stress away when the doctor says cancer.
What has Cerys been up to?
“Some personal highlights in my first few months include meeting some of my awesome colleagues in our services team who deliver the most wonderful bespoke care. It has been amazing seeing the relationships that they have with our young people.
“I’ve also loved meeting the supporters who care so much about CLIC Sargent and are so passionate about helping.”
Cerys is working to identify new opportunities to raise funds and awareness, having already worked with local Morrisons stores and Newport publications to ensure young lives affected by cancer is on Wales’ agenda.
