CLIC Sargent would like to say a huge thank you to the Berkshire Freemasons who have supported the charity for the past 11 years by providing keen volunteers at fundraising events.
Windsor Race Evening
CLIC Sargent Major Events Executive Jo Pugh said: “We are extremely grateful to the Berkshire Freemasons for their incredible support at our annual Windsor Race Evening.
"Their enthusiasm on the evening is amazing and over the last 5 years has helped us raise over £1.4million through the event! We couldn’t do it without them!"
Reading Half Marathon
CLIC Sargent Running Events Manager Lewis Hay said: “We can’t thank the Berkshire Freemasons enough for their support with marshalling at the Reading Half Marathon over the years and most recently, in 2015 and 2016, providing a team of 40 volunteers to cover the CLIC Sargent water station at the Windsor Half Marathon.”
Paul Watson has recently taken on the role as Berkshire Provincial Grand Charity Steward for the Berkshire Freemasons for the next seven years.
He said: “The local Freemasons are ready and willing to serve the community and play a major part in raising funds to enhance the lives of those less fortunate in whatever way that we can.
"I am looking forward to working with CLIC Sargent in 2017, which is an important year for us as we celebrate our 300th year anniversary.”
A massive thank you
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Liz Blunt said: “We really do appreciate everything that the Berkshire Freemasons have done to join us in the fight for young lives with cancer, their support has been invaluable.
"A special thanks to Jim Dance, the previous Berkshire Provincial Grand Charity Steward for the many hours he has spent in organising volunteers and of course the amazing volunteers.”
