Golf Day raises over £1,700 for young cancer patients

A Golf Society near Uxbridge, Middlesex held a Charity Golf Day in June, in aid of CLIC Sargent.

Gary Milne, a member of the society, said: “We are a small Golf Society and each year have a Charity Day, usually raising around £1,000 for the worthwhile cause.

"Ian Hurry, a long serving member of our society chose to support children and young people with cancer, as he is currently facing his own battle.”

Thank you

CLIC Sargent Area Fundraising Manager Elizabeth Charing said: “Thank you to Ian and all the members for choosing to support young cancer patients, and their families.

"They raised a brilliant amount of £1,730, which could pay for nine young people to take part in a residential weekend at Malcolm Sargent House, our holiday home in Scotland, where young people can meet others with similar experiences, helping them to feel less isolated.”
