Students, staff and parents at New Delaval Primary School in Blyth have raised a fantastic £646.51 for CLIC Sargent during the last academic year.
Primary school's fundraising success
Over the last academic year, fundraising activities at the school have included raising money during their Year 6 leavers assembly, staff donations, selling merchandise on the charity’s behalf, donations at their school fayre and through their annual 'New Delaval’s Got Talent Show', which CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Dee Tyler had the pleasure of attending.
The majority of money was raised from a bike ride they organised in Rothbury that staff and students thoroughly enjoyed.
On the 4 October, Dee attended the school to accept a cheque on behalf of the charity. She said: “It is wonderful to have the school raise such a great amount for CLIC Sargent and at the same time do such a wonderful job of spreading the word about the work we do.
"I want to thank each and every person involved for your support and tell you just what a difference it will make to the families we work with.”
