A family fun day was organised in support of Daisy, a brave and inspirational nine year old, and has raised a staggering £23,000 for three charities, including CLIC Sargent.
Daisy was recently diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma, a rare childhood bone cancer.
Friends and family organised Daisy's Day at Little Marlow Athletics Track, Buckinghamshire in support of three charities: CLIC Sargent, Kamran’s Children’s Cancer Ward at John Radcliffe Hospital and the Bone Cancer Research Trust.
Crowds flocked to the family fun day for a day of sponsored runs, games, an evening of live music and an auction.
A huge success
The event has raised over £23,000 to date, with donations still being made online on an official Daisy's Day fundraising page.
Daisy’s mum Jane said: “We would like to thank all who attended the day and all the helpers and volunteers who came together to make it a success.”
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager James McDonald said: “On behalf of CLIC Sargent, I would like to thank everyone who organised and supported the event, it is a fantastic amount to have raised.”
