Family fun in Midsomer Norton

A family fun day held at Welton Rovers Football Club in Midsomer Norton raised over £700 to support children and young people with cancer, and their families.

Emma Clark, 22, organised the event in aid of CLIC Sargent to raise awareness and funds, as her younger brother is currently being supported by the charity.

Emma, her sister Sophie, partner Kristian and daughter Lola-Sofia brought the local community together with activities for all the family.

From selling toys and cakes, to live bands performing, charity football matches and a variety of games it was a huge success.

Emma said: “I'm definitely up for carrying on fundraising; CLIC Sargent has done so much for my brother and family I've enjoyed being able to give something back.”

Emma is now organising her second event of the year, a Christmas charity day which will take place on Saturday 5 December at Stratton-on-the-Fosse.

Thank you

CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Victoria Williams said: “Thank you to Emma and her family for putting on this brilliant event.

“Emma has managed to raise an incredible amount in donations to support children and young people with cancer.

“We are very grateful for her support. It is fantastic that Emma is already organising her next event, which I am sure will be another great success.”
