A branch of Yorkshire Building Society in Alnwick, Northumberland kindly chose to support CLIC Sargent during its 'Small Change Big Difference Week', helping to support children and young people with cancer.
Every year Yorkshire Building Society holds its 'Small Change Big Difference Week', where it supports charities financially.
This year’s event was held in August, when the society invited its customers and the general public to visit a local branch or agency to recommend a local good cause or charity to be considered for a donation of £100 from its charitable foundation.
Each branch chooses a charity and this year Alnwick branch in Northumberland kindly chose CLIC Sargent.
Daniel Tyler, branch manager for Alnwick, said: “We are delighted to choose CLIC Sargent this year. The charity does great work in the area and we are happy to support that work.”
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Dee Tyler said: “We are thankful for Yorkshire Building Society’s support.
"We know that it is not only this branch but at least one other branch across the UK that has chosen to support us.
"The £100 given is more then half the amount of the grant CLIC Sargent gives to families after a child is diagnosed with cancer, to stop unexpected costs like parking and petrol becoming a problem.
"The branch should be proud it has chosen to support such a good cause.”
