Sophie Johnson from Cheltenham raised £602 by organising a netball tournament with friends and family, to support children and young people with cancer.
Sophie and her mum Jo were inspired to organise the netball tournament after attending a previous event. They were also keen to support CLIC Sargent as a friend had recently been supported by the charity.
Sophie said: “Every team was absolutely brilliant from the Sweaty Dads to the mixed mums, dads and kids, and the awesome and enthusiastic year 7/8s.
"But not least, The Teenagers who ultimately won. Congratulations all. We’re happy to have raised so much for charity.”
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Victoria Williams said: “We are absolutely thrilled that Sophie and her friends have made this wonderful contribution.
“We really appreciate the hard work and generosity that has gone into raising the pounds – every penny raised will help provide vital support for children and young people with cancer, and their families.”
