We are so lucky to have so many inspirational people that go the extra mile by taking on a challenge to raise money for children and young people with cancer, and their families.
Their hard work and dedication to the cause is outstanding. One such challenger is Michele Scott, who is our Star Challenger for December.
Michele cycled from London to Paris in the summer and raised an incredible £6,359 for CLIC Sargent.
Michele said: “Little did I know what I had signed up for when I decided to do the London to Paris cycling challenge, particularly as I hadn’t been on a bike for about 20 odd years!
Sense of achievement
"It was one of the hardest things I have done but what a sense of achievement when I arrived at the Eiffel Tower, words can’t explain the feeling. What kept me going throughout was thinking of how my friends' children had suffered and how brave they had been, nothing could be worse than that.
"CLIC Sargent helped all the family and I know they were grateful for the support given. I was so pleased to raise such a fabulous amount for such a great charity, thanks to the generosity of my friends and family.”
Huge congratulations and many, many thanks to Michele and all of our fabulous challengers who took on a challenge and raised vital funds for CLIC Sargent in 2016.
