The Suffolk Summer Sixes Darts League has supported CLIC Sargent for the 10th year raising a record £6,500 for children and young people with cancer.
This fantastic amount was raised by the 34 pubs and clubs in this year’s league, with each venue raising funds for CLIC Sargent.
The team from The Manger in Bradfield Combust won the top fundraiser prize, as they organised a successful wrestling night for the second year running, which this year raised an impressive £1,735.
Colin Green, Chairman of the League, was proud to hand over a cheque for £6,500 to CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager, Alison Ramsay at the 2013 finals tournament.
Mr Green said, “The League is proud to be a committed supporter of CLIC Sargent, having raised over £44,000 for them over the last 10 years. This has been raised through pub collection tins, raffles, the wrestling night, and a draw for a home made dolls house and fort.
"It really has been an exceptional year and we hope to do as well next year."
Alison Ramsay said: “We are so grateful for the fantastic efforts this year of Colin and all the teams in the Summer Sixes Darts League, and for their continued support for CLIC Sargent.”
