CLIC Sargent is so lucky to have so many inspirational people that go the extra mile by taking on a challenge to raise money for children and young people with cancer, and their families.
This month, our star challenger is Chloe Brown, who, along with 19 other CLIC Sargent supporters, will be trekking the Great Wall of China this October.
Chloe said: “When I was just under two years old I was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, changing my life forever. Everybody needs support and reassurance in these circumstances.
“I wanted to do something that will be a challenge for myself. I want to make myself proud and show people that you can achieve anything you want after cancer.
Chloe’s grandad has organised a golf day every year since then and has raised approximately £20,000 for CLIC Sargent.
Chloe, now 20, decided she wanted to show her gratitude to the charity too and so she signed up to take part in the Great Wall of China trek.
Chloe has already raised over £3,400 by organising tombolas, a colour fun run and a charity night with live music and a pie and peas supper.
She added: “I will be in China for my 21st birthday which was very daunting at first but now I think it will be an amazing experience. This is because I will know the money I am raising is going to help other children and families going through this difficult time."
We think you are amazing Chloe and feel sure you are going to have an unforgettable 21st birthday!
