Northern Ireland top chef Jenny Bristow calls on you to 'Run for Home'

Getting into the marathon spirit

Jenny had been encouraging schools, work places, families and friends to get involved in the event by taking part in the run, relay, eight mile walk or the fun run in support of CLIC Sargent's Northern Ireland Appeal.

The Appeal reached an important milestone in February, when the first Home from Home opened to families. CLIC Sargent has now begun work on phase two of the Appeal and is working towards the building of a similar style home for young people aged between 16 and 24 years of age.

Get involved

Jenny Bristow said: "I am really excited that CLIC Sargent is the nominated charity for the 2014 Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon."

"I would urge everyone to get involved to support this fantastic cause.....as ambassador; I know the incredible work they do to support children and young people with cancer."

"I will be running part of the marathon on the day and I do hope you will join me. You can either run the full marathon, do the relay, the eight mile walk or get the kids involved in the fun run."

The deadline for registering for the Marathon is Friday 18 April and you can sign up on the Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon official website.
