Members of the line dancing group, The Dreamweavers, have danced their way to raising £357 for children and young people with cancer, and their families.
Salisbury line dancing group chose CLIC Sargent as its charity for 2014 and raised through raffle sales at social dances and selling cakes at a special fundraising tea dance, too.
Group member Marina Lewendon said: “We chose to support CLIC Sargent because a friends’ grandson who will be three this year, was diagnosed with leukaemia. We want to show support to him and other young cancer patients.”
The Dreamweavers group has been running for 14 years and has around 30 members who attend a weekly class at a local church.
Fundraising Manager at CLIC Sargent, Hannah Worrall, said: “Thank you very much to The Dreamweavers for their year long fundraising for such a worthy cause.”
