It was aprons and whisks at the ready for British Ceramic Tile, as they held their annual cake bake competition in aid of charity partner, CLIC Sargent.
Devon based company British Ceramic Tile are the largest manufacturer of ceramic and glass tiles in the UK. They have chosen to support CLIC Sargent for three years.
All the staff were invited to get baking for this years challenge which was judged by senior staff and CLIC Sargent representatives across their two sites. Each baked item was tasted by the judges, before being sold off in portions for all the staff to enjoy. The funds raised will be added to the current fundraising total of £3,250.
Fundraising Manager for CLIC Sargent, Stephanie Cherington-Rimmell, said: "We had a wonderful day at British Ceramic Tile. Tasting the cakes was very tough as everyone had put in so much effort, but we did eventually agree on the winners.
"We are so grateful for the amazing support already this year, from taking part in the Dartmoor Drop abseil, to bake offs, sponsored silences and wear pink days, everyone is getting involved in making a huge difference."
HR Manager at British Ceramic Tile, Hannah Radford, said: "It was fantastic to see both sites come together and show their support for CLIC Sargent. A bake off is always such a great fundraising activity, and helped to unleash the Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood of the tile world.
"We are on track to meet our fundraising target for this year. I would like to say a huge thanks to all colleagues for the generous donations that have been given so far."
The fundraising has continued with a pumpkin carving competition for Halloween, and the company have lots more planned for Christmas and the New Year.
