Sainsbury’s take part in the Big Buzz

Driver, Aaron White from the Sainsbury’s Depot, in Waltham Cross, London, has raised £800 for children and young people with cancer by having his head shaved.

Aaron spotted a notice at the Sainsbury’s depot calling for volunteers to take part in CLIC Sargent’s The Big Buzz and shave their heads to raise sponsorship money.

Aaron had no hesitation in signing up and had his head in front of all his colleagues to raise an incredible amount for CLIC Sargent.

The Waltham Cross Depot chose CLIC Sargent as its official charity partner in July 2012 and is now continuing its efforts to raise funds throughout 2013.

CLIC Sargent fundraising manager, Louise Oakley said: “ We are delighted to have Sainsbury’s Waltham Cross depot supporting CLIC Sargent this year, and even more so now that Aaron has shaved his head and raised hundreds of pounds as part of our The Big Buzz campaign.”

Thank you to Aaron, Mel Hardy for supplying the clippers and shaving Aarons head and to all the staff, friends and family who helped raise this fantastic amount for children and young people with cancer.
