First-time author and former teacher, Kathy Lovell wrote the story, about a boy with leukaemia, 16 years after her daughter’s own fight against the cancer.
The book was published last year and aims to connect with children and young people receiving medical treatment for cancer.
The 12 donated copies will be available for children, young people and their parents to use whilst visiting the children’s ward at Derriford Hospital, Plymouth.
Profits made from all sales of the story book will also go to CLIC Sargent.
Thank you to Kathy for her very generous act of kindness, as well as the businesses in Tavistock who helped make this donation possible.
