Becky took part in the Oxford Half Marathon on the 11 October and chose to run as part of Team CLIC Sargent.
Becky’s very proud husband Glenn got in touch with us to nominate Becky as our star runner.
He explains: "Becky has never been a 'runner', in fact by her own admission she would say she hated running.
"So it was a big deal for her to sign up to the Oxford Half Marathon for CLIC Sargent in memory of her cousin Emily who passed away at the age of 13 after battling a brain tumour.
"Becky set the modest target of £200 to raise and knew the support of her sponsors would help her through her training runs, some of which were more mentally and physically demanding than first expected.
"Becky went on to raise £1,095 for CLIC Sargent which was inspiring and slightly overwhelming - it certainly helped her to complete her longest ever run and led to a very emotional finish line surrounded by her very proud family."
Thank you so much to Becky for choosing to run the Oxford Half Marathon as part of Team CLIC Sargent and for raising such a fantastic amount of money. We agree with Glenn – Becky, you are a star!
