Staff and children at Happy Days Nursery in Liskeard are rallying together to raise vital funds for children and young people with cancer having chosen CLIC Sargent as its charity of the year.
The nursery kicked off the official partnership by taking part in Wig Wednesday on 20 May. The staff helped children make their own wigs in an array of wacky and wonderful styles and colours.
It has also started a collection of toys as part of its Give Campaign. Children are bringing in toys to donate to the CLIC Sargent charity shop in Saltash to raise funds for children and young people with cancer.
Nursery manager Sue O’Neill said: “We are really happy to support CLIC Sargent as our charity of the year at Happy Days Liskeard.
I think it is really important for the children to be involved in charity fundraising and helping other children.
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Georgina Reed said: “We are thrilled that Happy Days Nursery Liskeard has decided to support CLIC Sargent.
"Their wigs were looking wig-tastic on Wig Wednesday and they already have a huge amount of toys donated. We are really excited for their fundraising efforts.”
