Moneyfacts Awards finalists Credo Asset Finance has pledged to meet its fundraising target, to raise £10,000 for CLIC Sargent this Christmas with a 10k run and bake-off challenge.
Having already raised over £9,000 for young cancer patients, on 21 December the first 'Credo Xmas Bake-off' will take place at its offices, where customers will be invited to enjoy the festive treats.
Rachel and Sam from Blakeys Bus Café, who are launching their new café business from Mulbarton Common in January, have kindly offered to judge the team’s baking skills.
Rachel said: “I come from a family of foodies; we all love cooking and eating.
"I love to bake cakes and both my parents are keen cooks, so I was delighted to be asked along with my business partner Sam to judge this wonderful competition for CLIC Sargent.”
Taking the fundraising activities straight into 2016, Credo’s marketing executive Fran Brown decided to take on a personal challenge: The Wymondham New Year’s Day 10K.
Fran said: “This Christmas over 200 children will be diagnosed with cancer and CLIC Sargent do amazing work to help care for and support these children; this is why we needed to get involved.
“Credo was 10 years old this year and its challenge was to reach £10,000 and complete 10,000k in its different challenges.
"Having already surpassed the 10,000k I thought it would be fitting to run a 10k to round off this year. I just hope we can get there.”
