CLIC Sargent held their first North Down and Ards Fundraising Committee meeting on Thursday 6 September. Volunteers from across North Down and Ards joined to show their support for the CLIC Sargent Homes from Home Appeal.  Also supporting the evening was Mayor of North Down, Councillor Wesley Irvine; Mayor of Ards Alderman Hamilton Gregory and Jim Shannon MP for Strangford.

Jim Shannon MP added, “I am overwhelmed and delighted to see such great support from the people of North Down and Ards for the first CLIC Sargent Fundraising Group meeting; volunteers are fantastic ambassadors for charities.

Alderman Hamilton Gregory commented “200 families from Northern Ireland were supported by CLIC Sargent last year and 12 of these families are from the Bangor and Ards area. I believe the Homes from Home Appeal can make a big difference to local people. I wish the fundraising group well in the coming months and look forward to supporting your fundraising efforts of CLIC Sargent”
