Marketforce staff raise over £1,000

After choosing CLIC Sargent as it's Charity of the Year for 2014, Marketforce, the UK's leading magazine sales, marketing and distribution company has so far raised over £1,000 for in support of children and young people with cancer, and their families.

The charity was nominated by staff members Amy Golby and Nicola Gordon, who both have a personal connection to CLIC Sargent.

Amy is also raising additional funds by joining the CLIC Sargent running team for the Royal Parks Half Marathon. She said: "My uncle died from Hodgkin lymphoma in 2010. His first diagnosis was when he was only 15 and with the help of CLIC Sargent he managed to battle through this.

"I thought what better way to carry his memory on than to be part of a charity that meant so much to him.”

Staff have been getting into the sporting fundraising spirit lately by running a Grand National sweepstake, England match viewing, and a World Cup sweepstake, which raised £132.

With the wonderful weather we’ve been having their latest event was focused around strawberries and Pimms, which raised £60 towards the partnership total. Hopefully the sunshine will continue, as throughout August they will be running ‘ice cream Friday’s’!

Towards the end of the partnership they plan to hold a Big Buzz waxing auction event, Halloween Bake Off and Christmas Jumper Day.
