The Rotary Club of Frome, with the help of the community, have been busy raising valuable funds for children and young people with cancer, and their families.
In hosting a bucket collection in the town of Frome on 27 February the Rotary club, along with the help of the community, raised an astonishing total of £741.
Dennis Barnard, a rotarian at the Rotary Club of Frome, said: “We never cease to be amazed by the generosity of the people of Frome.”
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Hannah Worrall said: “This is such a tremendous amount to raise from a bucket collect. It is a tribute to the wonderful work of the Rotary and the generous community of Frome.”
In addition to these wonderful funds, the Rotary club also hosted a Christmas concert at the Standerwick Centre, raising £1,058 for young cancer patients back in December.
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Hannah Worrall said: “We are thrilled that the Rotary Club continue to support CLIC Sargent.
"Last year we supported over 600 children and young people with cancer, and their families, from the south west.
"We also gave out over 400 grants, to a value of over £75,000, to help families deal with the financial impact of cancer.
“CLIC Sargent wouldn’t exist without the generosity of communities such as Frome, thank you very much for helping CLIC Sargent be there for families when they need the support most.”
