CLIC Sargent is delighted to be Lidl UK's charity partner for 2014-16.
About the partnership
Lidl UK reached its fundraising target of £1million – six months ahead of schedule. The total raised by Lidl shoppers and employees means that CLIC Sargent could fund an incredible 40,000 hours of care for children and young people, and their families, who are going through cancer treatment.
CLIC Sargent was originally selected by Lidl UK to benefit from a 15 month fundraising partnership, running from October 2012 to December 2013. Following a hugely successful initial partnership the company chose to extend the their support for CLIC Sargent for a further three years and set an ambitious fundraising target of £1million.
Lidl’s employees continue to be fundraising superheroes, organising their own fundraising events including bake sales, dress down days and charity days, as well as taking part in CLIC Sargent’s runs, cycles and treks across the UK.
The company also supplies gifts in kind to the charity including stock for our eBay store, event refreshments, and supplies for families staying in our Home from Homes. In 2016 Lidl UK also announced a further £500,000 donation to the charity from the proceeds of its single use carrier bags.
Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
Lidl is sponsoring Childhood Cancer Awareness Month (CCAM), CLIC Sargent’s campaign which helps to raise awareness of the key issues facing children with cancer and their families.
