Hi my daughter got the thumbs up from non hodgkins lymphoma. I am finding it difficult getting back to normality , whatever that means

We have also just gotten the all clear after 3 years of leukaemia treatment. I don't really think there is a ' normal ' that we need to comply with. Life will always be different. My son is more emotional now and I think he now thinks that we expect him to be 100% straight away. I truly believe that we are not going to be settled until at least the end of the year, maybe even longer. I think the key is to not have any expectations on this time of adjustment, after all it's an individual journey.

Hi Abby
Congratulations on your fantastic news.I suppose all we can really do is take one day at a time and try and put the living nightmare behind us.

I can't seem to get used to the idea that y son is dead. I wake each morning to the realisation of that truth - and it hurts.

Hi Meggi
I lost a brother 10 yrs ago through suicide and to be honest you dont ever get over it .In time you will develop a way of coping but your son will remain with you night and day because he is in your heart.
