Tristram Cooke, a talented counter tenor and former cancer patient is holding a concert in IIkley, West Yorkshire celebrating music by English composers to support children and young people with cancer, and their families.
Tristram, a postgraduate student at the Royal Academy of Music will be holding a concert in Ilkley celebrating music by English composers including Dowland, Purcell, Handel and many more.
He will be joined by Victoria Mulley, Tom Cooke and Matthew Dunn for what promises to be fantastic evening and a great fundraising event for CLIC Sargent.
Towards the end of Tristram's second year at university, he was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma, but was determined to continue with his academic studies and performance commitments throughout treatment.
Within a week of completing six month's chemotherapy, he successfully auditioned for his scholarship to the academy, and was the alto soloist for a concert in Ripon Cathedral with Sedbergh Choral Society.
