"I am so looking forward to a brilliant, sell out evening all to raise money to help make a difference to families."
Concert organiser and violin soloist, Shulah Oliver said: "When a Mum, who had heard about the 'Spring into Action' concert, came up to me and said "We just could not have got through our ordeal with CLIC Sargent", it was the unmistakeable emotion in her voice that told the full story of the wonderful work CLIC Sargent does supporting families in their hour of need.
"This is why I am so looking forward to a brilliant, sell out evening all to raise money to help make a difference to these families.
"We are delighted and so lucky to have Michael Collie as our compere, wonderful soloists including Denise Leigh, and the Birmingham Philharmonic Orchestra. For Mass of the Children, by John Rutter, we also have a wonderful massed choir joining The Oakville Singers including the Dionysius Choir from Germany, and local school choirs.
"The expression is 'it will be alright on the night' but this, I am confident, will not just be alright but fantastic, with a fabulous programme to appeal to a varied audience. It is great to think that so many people want to be involved in the concert - tickets are selling like hot cakes, so book your tickets now to avoid disappointment."
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager, Amanda Chapple is extremely excited about the concert. She said: "It is fantastic to see a community pull together to produce such a diverse and exciting programme. The committee have done an outstanding job in selecting some very talented musicians who are joining forces to support children and young people with cancer."
