CLIC Sargent participants Braved the Tower and abseiled 100m down the Spinnaker Tower, Portsmouth, superhero style to raise vital funds for children and young people with cancer, and their families.
The sun was shining down on a very tall Spinnaker Tower and despite a bit of windy weather, all of our brave abseilers made their way down this iconic viewing tower safely, with big smiles on their faces.
We had the likes of Superman and Supergirl, Batman and Batwoman, and even Bananaman descending down the tower, catching the eyes of passers by!
So far the event has raised £15,000 to support children and young people with cancer, and their families, with more money yet to come in.
This could pay for a year’s supply of What now?, a booklet for parents and carers to help them understand and deal with the practical aspects of a child’s cancer diagnosis.
