100 medical professionals and friends are coming together from across the Midlands to celebrate the festive period in support of CLIC Sargent.
Led by James Llewelyn Jones, the choir will be accompanied by Gemini Brass, organist Richard Dawson, and Caitlin Drake an exceptionally talented young soprano.
Choir Secretary Susan Buckingham said:
“All the choir members have worked really hard over the last few months to prepare for the big day and we are sure it’s going to be fantastic."
A varied programme
Last year, over £3,000 was raised for CLIC Sargent and this year they hope to reach an even higher target.
Susan said: "Members of our audience last year were delighted to see young people showcased and were pleased with the variety of the programme, which they found to be very uplifting and a change for the better. We’d encourage people to buy their tickets early to avoid disappointment.”
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Lydia Buckmaster said:
“The Midlands Hospitals’ Choir’s concerts are a fantastic way to get into the festive spirit and support young lives against cancer at the same time.
"Last year our teams based at the Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Queen Elizabeth Hospital supported over 570 children and young people with cancer, and their families. We’re only able to do this thanks to the generous support that we receive from events like these.”
