Power up the Obel Tower

A big thank you to all the brave competitors who took on Ireland’s tallest building on 19 October and competed in Northern Ireland’s first ever charity stair climb!

Power up the Obel Tower

Participants raced to the top of Ireland’s tallest building The Obel, all 412 steps of it, as fast as they could. They were cheered on by a team of volunteers and we saw some very fast times. The winner made it to the top in 2 minutes 12 seconds. Feedback from the participants has been great and many have raised well above their target fundraising amount.

All money raised from the event will go towards the Northern Ireland Homes from Home Appeal. On average, families in Northern Ireland have to travel 95 miles, up to five times a week to access the cancer treatment they need for their sick child. Our aim is to build two Homes from Home close to the two main Belfast hospitals so that we can ease this financial and emotional burden on families at an already difficult time.
