Organised by the Rotary Club of Oxford, you are invited to take part in the annual 5km fun run and raise funds for children and young people with cancer, and their families.
The Rotary Club of Oxford has organised a fun run in their city every year since 1989, with this year being no exception. The 5k run, walk or roll will take place on Saturday 7 May in Oxford University Parks.
Oxford residents of every kind are invited to join the fun either as an individual or as a team. Budding participants will compete to win a trophy in their category, including a Family Fancy Dress Trophy!
To enter, or for more information, please visit the official Oxford fun run website.
Please join in the afternoon BBQ after the race, free of charge to entrants.
A long standing event
Dr Graham Simpson of the Rotary Club of Oxford said: “Oxford Rotary Club was founded in 1924 and 2016 marks 92 years of the Rotary in Oxford. We are proud to host such a long standing, successful event, which is great fun for everyone!”
Runners are encouraged to run and raise funds for their chosen charity, as well as helping the Rotary Club of Oxford raise money for CLIC Sargent.
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager James McDonald said: “We are thrilled that the Rotary Club of Oxford is helping to raise thousands of pounds for charities by hosting this fantastic event, which is a great day out for everyone in the beautiful Oxford University Parks.”
