Organised by the Rotary Club of Oxford, take part in the annual 5k Fun Run and raise funds for children and young people with cancer, and their families.
Rotary Club of Oxford have organised a Fun Run in their city every year since 1989, and this year is no exception. The 5k fun run (you can also walk), will take place on Saturday 9 May in Oxford University Parks.
This year, Oxford residents are invited to join the fun either as an individual or as a team of four people. Budding participants will compete to win a trophy in their category and be welcomed to join an afternoon BBQ, free of charge to entrants.
Dr Graham Simpson of Rotary Club of Oxford said: “Oxford Rotary Club was founded in 1924 and 2014 marked ninety years of Rotary in Oxford. We are so proud to host such a long standing, successful event which is great fun for everyone!”
Run to raise money
Runners are encouraged to raise funds for their own chosen charity, as well as helping the Rotary Club of Oxford raise money for CLIC Sargent.
CLIC Sargent's Fundraising Manager Hannah Worrall said: "We are thrilled that the Rotary Club of Oxford are raising funds for CLIC Sargent by hosting such a fun day out for everyone in Oxford!"
