Following the success of last year’s event, the Newquay CLIC Sargent Fundraising Group are looking for more dare-devils in Cornwall to take the plunge into the Atlantic Ocean on New Year’s Day.
Brave individuals will be given the opportunity to take the plunge from Newquay Harbour to blow away those cobwebs and start 2016 by doing something amazing for charity.
Last year this event raised an incredible £1,400 for CLIC Sargent thanks to the generosity and unbelievable support the dippers had from family, friends and spectators. This year they want to make the event even bigger to try to raise more money for CLIC Sargent.
Book your place
To book your ticket into the Atlantic Ocean on New Year’s Day, or to find out more, please contact organiser Hannah Eustice on 01637 831 184 / 07791 086 617 or organiser Jos Cole on 07901 550 982.

Entry is £5 per person and participants are encouraged to raise sponsorship. All Dippers who raise over £50 receive a free CLIC Sargent t-shirt and there will be prizes for the best fancy dress costume.
Take the plunge
Event organiser Hannah Eustice said: "We look forward to seeing dippers and spectators on New Year’s Day.
"If you cannot bring yourself to wade into water that may be somewhat chilly, wrap yourselves up well, fill your pockets and purses with cash and get to Newquay Harbour to throw money into the CLIC Sargent collecting buckets and cheer on those who do dare face the crazy challenge.”
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Jordan Anderton said: “Hannah, Jos and Andy do a fantastic job of organising the dip each year and have an excellent team to help them.
“The money raised from this year’s dip will enable them to continue making an amazing difference to the lives of children and young people with cancer.”
