Congratulations to the CLIC Sargent cyclists who took part in the Grand Depart Yorkshire Tour Challenge 2014, raising over £7,500 in support of children and young people with cancer, and their families.

Grand Depart Yorkshire Tour Challenge 2014

Our team of CLIC Sargent cyclists set off early from Leeds along with over 240 other riders to complete the first 120 miles of the Tour de France.

The roads were lined with spectators all excited and ready to see the professional cyclists the following day, but were a fantastic support to all the charity riders and helped to make the ride a very memorable event for all those who took part.

One team member said: ‘What a lovely day it was, the riding and views were fantastic. All those people at the side of the road were cheering us on and when we turned into Swaledale with the wind behind us and the sun out I was in my element.

"It was a brilliant weekend and glad I had the opportunity to do it."

CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager, Kerry Timbrell said: "Congratulations to all our riders not only for completing the challenge but raising over £7,500 for children and young people with cancer.

"Thank you so much for your commitment, dedication and hard work."
