Edinburgh Kiltwalk 2016

Kiltwalk is a unique Scottish charity event taking place in four locations, where every penny raised goes towards supporting Scotland's children.

The challenge

Take in Edinburgh’s beautiful coastline after a quick warm up and maybe a spot of breakfast. Sign up ›

You can choose from the following distances, all suitable for walkers of all ages and abilities.

  • The Wee Wander, five miles
  • The Big Stroll, 12 miles
  • The Mighty Stride, 26 miles

Both the 26 mile and 12 mile walks kick off at the home of Scottish Rugby – BT Murrayfield Stadium. From there, the 26 mile walk passes through Gypsy Brae, Granton Harbour and Victoria Park, crossing the cobbles of Leith to the Promenade. Then walkers will head back inland to Arthur’s Seat, before hitting the home stretch back to Murrayfield.

The five mile walk sets off from Gypsy Brae and also finishes at Murrayfield.
