The Durning Lawrence Charity Cup Final between St Dennis FC and Penryn Athletic should be a close fought and competitive game, with both teams having had strong seasons.
The teams have met twice this season in the league and Penryn Athletic hold the edge, having won 3-0 at home and taken a point from a 1-1 draw at St Dennis.
Go along to Truro's Treyew Road on Wednesday 6 May 2015, kick-off at 7.30pm, to watch a great game of football, enjoy some lovely weather (we hope!) but most importantly raise even more money for children and young people with cancer.
A successful season
Claire Summers-Evans, governance administrator for Cornwall FA, said: “2014/15 has seen all the competing clubs really buy into supporting CLIC Sargent and we at Cornwall FA are extremely grateful to every single club for their enthusiasm.”
“Representatives of CLIC Sargent have been present at games with collection buckets, clubs have donated their 50/50 takings and various special events have been organised at games with mascots, schools and competitions, all in aid of raising awareness and money for CLIC Sargent.
“While it is St Dennis and Penryn Athletic who meet in the final, every club has played their part in supporting this season’s competition and it is a wonderful reflection on the generosity and spirit of our clubs, their committees and supporters.”
Thank you Cornwall FA
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Georgina Reed said: “We were thrilled when Cornwall FA decided to support CLIC Sargent with its charity cup donation for the 2014/2015 football season.
“We have been inspired by the efforts and enthusiasm of all the clubs who have taken part and gone the extra mile to support CLIC Sargent.
"We would like to thank Cornwall FA, all of the clubs involved, and volunteers that have helped to maximise the fundraising from the Charity Cup.”
