Caroline Spurrier, of Crow's Hall in Debenham invited over 200 guests to enjoy the annual 'Opera in the Barn', raising £3,350 for children and young people with cancer, and their families.
This is the second year Miss Spurrier has been supporting the charity through her unique ‘Opera in the Barn’ event.
As well as enjoying the talents of the London Festival Opera, guests participated in a raffle and exciting auction which raised £2,445, taking the total amount raised including ticket sales to over £3,350.
Caroline said: “I’m really proud to be able to help this worthy charity. I personally know several people who have benefited from the support that CLIC Sargent give, and I have seen the major difference they make to these families.
"Without the support of CLIC Sargent, my friends suffering would have been even greater. It is hoped our long term partnership with the charity can raise in excess of £10,000, which will be just wonderful.”
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager, Daisy Turner said: “We are absolutely thrilled that this year’s event sold out and guests enjoyed a wonderful evening in support of CLIC Sargent.
We really appreciate Caroline and her team’s hard work and commitment to raising money to support for children and young people with cancer, and their families both in Suffolk and across the UK.”
