The talented Manchester and Districts Hospitals' Choir held its 43rd annual Christmas celebration carol concert in aid of CLIC Sargent.
Thousands of people got into the spirit of Christmas at this year’s annual carol concert at the Bridgewater Hall in aid of the charity CLIC Sargent helping to raise and expected £10,000 to £12000 for children and young people with cancer, and their families.
Manchester and District Hospital’s Choir were joined by two primary schools each night. On Monday, Moorlands Junior School, Sale, and the Holy Family Roman Catholic School, delighted the audience with their fantastic performance. On Tuesday, Gatley Primary School and Navigation Primary School, Altrincham, gave an equally brilliant performance.
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Vicki Moore said: “This year’s event was hugely enjoyable and got everyone feeling Christmassy.
I would like to say a big thank you to the volunteers who organised it, especially Norma Entwisle. I would also like to say a big thank you to Sam Shaw and Mahesh Vara, two young people who were brave enough to share their stories with the audience of around 1,000 people each night.
