Come along to the Cheltenham Martial Arts Academy and get involved with an active taster day for all ages whilst raising funds for children and young people with cancer.
This is a great opportunity to try something new, push your boundaries and have a great day out with family or friends, all whilst fundraising for The 100 Project and CLIC Sargent.
Well-respected Wing Chun instructor, Sifu Matt Chapplow, said: “As I am currently receiving support for throat cancer I want to do something to help others who are also embarking on this journey.
Matt continued: “Martial arts is a great way of instilling confidence into young people and I hope to be able to encourage more youngsters to benefit from these great sports as a result of them enjoying this great taster day.”
The event was run last year and has generated interest in martial arts' circles, encouraging other instructors to offer their help for the next event. Instructors are due to attend from Bristol, Newport, Germany, Italy and even Hong Kong.
All instructors and venues are offered voluntarily in the hope to raise more funds for the chosen charities.
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Hannah Worrall said: “This is a great opportunity to do something good for charity whilst trying something new for yourself or your family. This promises to be a brilliant day and I for one cannot wait!”
