Support from Universities and Colleges

Students are great at coming up with creative ways to raise funds for children and young people with cancer, and their families.

Show your support

Whether as part of a RAG, committee or as individuals, students are always taking on incredible challenges and organising ambitious events in support of CLIC Sargent.

You and your college or university can get involved too!

Contact our team on 0845 124 1188 or email: to tell us about your fundraising ideas, request a street collection permit for a RAG Raid or order fundraising support materials for your own event.

Here are just some of the ways that college and university students have help support CLIC Sargent:

Durham students jailbreak to Turkey!

Durham University Students Rachel Bronstein and Jess Hof won the Durham University's Charities Kommittee's (DUCK) Jailbreak event, reaching the coast of Turkey and raising money for CLIC Sargent along the way.

The event sees teams of two or three trying to get as far from the university as possible without spending any of their own money, using only cardboard signs and their wits.

Kirklees College’s Annual Wacky Day

Kirklees College's annual CLIC Sargent fundraising event raised over £700 at the end of 2013, twice as much as the year before.

Pyjamas, onesies, wigs and unforgettable hair-dos were everywhere to be seen at the college, all in support of CLIC Sargent!

Fun run in memory of former pupil

Over 50 members of staff and students from Gower College's Sports Department in Swansea, took part in the fancy dress fun run to raise money for CLIC Sargent.

Students and staff dug out their running shoes and wacky costumes as they took part in a fancy dress fun run to raise funds in memory of former sports student, Gareth Jenkins.

Bournemouth University’s Kilimanjaro Trek

Students from Bournemouth University took on the huge challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to raise £100,000 for CLIC Sargent.

The team, co-led by student Amanda Cordrey, set off for the highest mountain in Africa and trekked an amazing 5,895m to reach the summit!
