Christmas is expensive but when cancer strikes young lives the additional costs can devastate families financially. Help CLIC Sargent support families, because cancer costs.
Donate this Christmas and help CLIC Sargent support young lives against cancer, because cancer costs. A £15 gift at Christmas could pay towards an hour of care so we can help a family during their time of need.
Christmas is expensive but if you have a child with cancer the additional costs seriously affect your ability to cope.
We know that parents spend £600 extra a month* as a result of their child’s cancer treatment. These costs come at a time when many families have to travel miles to access specialist treatment and may be unable to work. Donate now.
Help families like Findlay's
Nine year old Findlay had been ill for several weeks before the doctor said ‘it’s cancer.’ On Christmas Eve his parents, Ross and Angie found out their son had a tumour the size of a grapefruit in his chest.
Ross said, “We were in shock, denial, disbelief – it was serious and we thought Findlay might die.
Then they met CLIC Sargent Social Worker Sean – he fights tirelessly for Findlay’s family so they can focus on the important things, like getting well.
“What people sometimes don’t understand is that you need lots of practical support, and Sean was there to help.”
"We even got a CLIC Sargent grant of £170 which was a lifeline to us."
What people sometimes don’t understand is that you need lots of practical support. Sean was there to help.
