CLIC Sargent’s Shout Out! magazine is for seven to 13 year olds who have, or have had cancer, and is written with their help. Shout Out! has loads of fun things to read about and do, and includes stories from other children in similar situations.
The magazine is packed full of jokes, fun facts, celebrity interviews and film and music reviews, as well as stories, poems and pictures from our readers. There are puzzles and fun activities to do in hospital and at home, and a chance to win the ‘Get creative’ competition.
Shout Out’s ‘Ask the expert’ section gives children the chance to get their questions about life with and after cancer answered.

More about Shout Out!
In 2012 Shout Out! was runner up in the Quality in Care Excellence in Oncology Awards. It came second in the patient experience category.
This recognises entries that improve the experiences reported by patients about their treatment and care.
The magazine was also a finalist in the Children & Young People Now Volunteering and Participation Award because of the huge contribution children have made in developing the magazine.
