Rose Tallon becomes a Life Shaver

Life shaver, Rose Tallon has shaved her head as part of CLIC Sargent's The Big Buzz to raise £2,800 in support of children and young people with cancer.

Rose Tallon becomes a Life Shaver

Rose decided to support CLIC Sargent because of personal experience of long term illnesses in her family and witnessing the effect cancer has on families.

Rose said: "In my long and varied career I have worked closely with many people dealing with different illnesses and what is dearest to my heart are children and young people coping with the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.

CLIC Sargent helps alleviate the difficulties and help the whole family cope with cancer and to get the most out of life.

For her Big Buzz event, Rose held a local fundraising day inviting along all her friends and family to enjoy musical entertainment from the Dohl Drummers as well as local craft and cake stalls.

Speaking on the day Rose admits to being nervous and anxious about losing her locks. She said: "Great encouragement from everyone present made it easier. It feels bizarre not having any hair and it will take some getting used to.

"Thank you all for your generosity on this wonderful day enjoyed by all! It's not too late to contribute towards this great cause, your donations will be greatly appreciated by those in need"
