About the partnership
The world’s first and largest specialised staffing firm, Robert Half International chose CLIC Sargent as its charity partner for 2011 and then extended the partnership for 2012.
Founded in 1948, Robert Half places professionals in temporary, interim, project and permanent opportunities. The UK business focuses on recruiting within finance and accounting, financial services, IT, office support and administration, HR and marketing.
Robert Half’s fundraising has got off to an excellent start this year. Its staff have had a busy few months running, golfing and organising events.
In March 2012 the Birmingham sales office organised a quiz and raffle night in a local bar and raised over £1,200, whilst the team at the Milton Keynes organised a client golf day at The Belfrey March and raised over £1,000.
The Corporate Service Centre in Birmingham organised a spring clear out where staff donated bags of unwanted clothes and other items for sale in our charity shops. They continue to donate old computers, which can sell from our eBay site to generate funds. A daring team of five will be taking part in the grueling Bob Graham Round challenge later this year.
Phil Booth, Director at Robert Half, gave up smoking at the beginning of 2012 and undertook a strict exercise programme in order to get in shape for the Virgin London Marathon. To date his marathon effort has raised over £3,000.
As well as fundraising, Alex Moyles has been sharing his training expertise with our interns by running a CV workshop. Due to the positive feedback from last year the workshop will be held for a second year.
Robert Half is now working hard on its fundraising plans for the rest of the year.
