Practical matters

Dealing with some practical things after your child has died could feel painful. For some people the actual organising can help to take their mind off their grief and sorrow for a little while, but for other people it can seem an overwhelming task.

Whatever your reaction, you should never be afraid to ask for help. Remember, your CLIC Sargent Social Worker and care team will do their best to support you emotionally and practically in any way they can.

The information in this section is aimed at parents and carers of young adults aged 18 or over who have died, however some of the information may be relevant to parents of younger children who have died.
