Matt and Laura's story

CLIC Sargent eBay Assistant Matt talks about how important volunteers are to the success of our eBay team.

Matt and Laura's story

“One of the privileges of working at CLIC Sargent is having the responsibility of managing a fantastic team of volunteers.

"In the eBay team we are supported by a diverse group of around 10 regular volunteers, ranging from 21 to over 60 years of age.

“Our volunteers provide crucial help to our team by tagging, pricing, photographing and listing and we simply couldn’t do what we do without them!

“One particular volunteer, Laura Brown, joined us in autumn 2014 while taking a break from studying at university.

"At first she was a little quiet but soon showed that she was incredibly able and has become a hugely trusted and valued part of the team.

“Laura began her role listing and photographing items and she now also helps with franking duties and pricing up items prior to listing.

“I initially came to CLIC Sargent as a volunteer myself, and benefitted a great deal from my voluntary activities.

"It has been an absolute pleasure to see Laura grow into her role and become a confident and happy volunteer.

“Without volunteers such as Laura, we simply wouldn’t be able to achieve as much as we do and we are so grateful for her support.”
