A community for 16 to 24-year-olds who have, or have had, cancer.
Share experiences, make friends, find information
Our online Community is for 16 to 24-year-olds who have, or have had, cancer.
It's a place to share experiences, make friends, find useful information and support each other through difficult times.
Join the Community to discuss your experiences of cancer and its impact on your life, or anything else that interests you, such as films, music, and plans for the future.
"This is a great support community while you are having treatment and after" :-)
Ask The Expert
The Community hosts regular Ask The Expert sessions. These are a chance for you to ask questions about things that are worrying you and get them answered by a professional.
Previous Ask the Expert sessions have covered topics such as relationships and sex, friendship, mood and mental wellbeing. Our expert Matt Whyman answered questions from Community members (who are able to post anonymously if they don't want their username to show).
Community members can suggest future Ask The Expert topics by using the hashtag #suggestion.
Access the online Community wherever you are
Our online Community is designed to be mobile-friendly, so you can access it from your smartphone or tablet, as well as from your computer. So, wherever you are, you can speak to other young people who may have had similar experiences.
“For me personally, when I was diagnosed I was on my own on an adult ward. I only met one other young person with cancer while I was going through treatment so I didn’t get the opportunity to speak with other young people in the same situation very often.
"It can be isolating, especially if you can’t leave hospital.
"It’s very easy to post and read messages on the Community.’’
