About the partnership
To celebrate reaching their 100 year anniversary in 2012, Hoburne decided to do something a little bit special for the year and chose to support CLIC Sargent, surpassing its original pledge of £100,000 to raise a fantastic £164,000.
Staff at Hoburne organised and took part in a huge variety of fundraising activities including swimming, cycling, running, knitting, skydiving and cake baking events.
Hoburne’s Managing Director, James Lapage rode 350 miles from Hoburne Doublebois to Hoburne Park, visiting all the Hoburne Parks along the way to raise over £8,000 for CLIC Sargent.
As well as fundraising Hoburne provided a work experience opportunity for one of our service users, carried out vital maintenance at CLIC Haven our Home from Home in Southampton and provided holidays for our service users at their holiday parks.
Hoburne’s fourth generation Chairman, Rosie Kennar said: “Our centenary year surpassed all expectations. It was nothing short of a triumph in terms of increasing our profile, bringing our talented and loyal teams even closer together, and of course raising this phenomenal figure for CLIC Sargent.”
